At Old Oak Habitat, we are dedicated to transforming your land into a thriving, sustainable environment that benefits both wildlife and property owners. Founded by Jared Nichols, a passionate land manager with deep roots in northern Indiana and years of experience working in the rugged terrains of Wyoming, Old Oak Habitat brings a unique blend of expertise and dedication to land stewardship.
Jared’s journey began in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he attended Concordia High School before heading west to Wyoming. There, he honed his skills in wildlife management, trail maintenance, and land conservation. From managing trails in remote environments to working closely with nature on multi-night pack and hunting trips as a guide for an outfitter, Jared developed a deep respect for the land and the intricate balance of ecosystems. This experience equipped him with the knowledge to bring sustainable, wildlife-friendly practices back to Indiana, where he now helps landowners enhance the natural beauty of their properties.
Old Oak Habitat offers a wide range of services designed to improve land and create habitats that attract and support wildlife. Whether you’re looking to restore native species, maintain a Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) plot, or manage invasive species, we have the tools and expertise to make your property a haven for wildlife.
